Get an instant Slack or email alert (plus a lead log) for every new Jobber request

The moment a request lands in Jobber, the on-call person gets a Slack DM or email, and a row is added to a Google Sheet so you can see lead volume by week and source.

Docs last verified: Oct 19, 2026 · Tested in a live account: not yet · Cost lines marked ESTIMATE are our math, not vendor quotes.

Busy-work it kills: refreshing Jobber to see whether a new request came in, and rebuilding a "how many leads did we get?" spreadsheet by hand at month-end.

Good fit: owners or office managers who live in Slack or email rather than in the Jobber* app all day. Speed-to-lead matters most for emergency trades (HVAC, plumbing).

What you need

Build it in Zapier

  1. Trigger: Jobber → New Request Created (instant).
  2. Action: Slack → Send Direct Message to the on-call person: New request: {client} – {title}. Open Jobber to respond. (Or Gmail → Send Email.)
  3. Action: Google Sheets → Create Spreadsheet Row with date, client, title and any source field you see in the test data.

Field names vary by account. Use Zapier's test step to see exactly which request fields Jobber returns before you map them.

Make and n8n versions

Make: Jobber community app Watch Events → Slack / Gmail → Google Sheets Add a Row. Community-app caveats apply (third-party developer, possible fees, your own Jobber developer app).

n8n: Register a Jobber developer app and subscribe to a request-creation webhook topic (topic names follow OBJECT_ACTION; the exact list is in Jobber's Developer Center). Point it at an n8n Webhook node. Jobber's payload only contains IDs, so add an HTTP Request (GraphQL) node to fetch the request details, then Slack and Google Sheets nodes. Jobber requires a response within 1 second and may deliver duplicates, so de-duplicate on itemId.
